Using XML Feeds (BETA).
At BlinkPro, we know that our users
are often knowledge leaders within their organizations. Whether at
work, school, or among a group of friends, BlinkPro users often share
their bookmarks with other through the integrated Member Page.
We've created a powerful new tool for sharing your
knowledge. All of the public folders on your member page are now
available as XML feeds using the RSS (Really Simple Syndication)
model. XML is a standardized way for Internet applications to talk to
one another. By converting your BlinkPro folders into this standard
format we're enabling you to incorporate your bookmark data into
any other website, blog or application you'd like. If you've been
using the BlinkPro Publishing Wizard and are somewhat technically
savvy, XML is for you.
Where are the feeds?
Your member page has a feed which
includes each of your public folders within a <channel> tag
along with a <link> tag listing the xml feed for that
specific folder. Your memberpage feed is available at:
http://www.blinkpro.com/xml/yourmembername/
Obviously change "yourmembername" to your BlinkPro member name! The
membername feed includes only your first 100 public folders listed
by name.
Each of your public folders has its own RSS feed identified by a
number. You can find the URL for any folder by editing the folder from
the 'My Sites' tab. If the folder is public, a listing will appear on
the edit page showing the URL of the feed. A typical feed folder feed
will be available at a URL like:
http://www.blinkpro.com/xml/yourmembername/121
What do the feeds look like?
Here is an example of a feed:

If you're using a relatively modern web browser you should see the
feed as a series of tags. The tags correspond to the RSS
specification.
If you're new to RSS, here are some good places to start:
The XML system is still in beta, so be sure to give us your
feedback. Have Fun!
